Brad Keselowski has shared his thoughts on Kroger joining RFK Racing for the 2025 season. Keselowski believes the new sponsor knows how to play its cards right, describing it as a “proper NASCAR program.”
Keselowski is a driver and co-owner of RFK Racing. He recently announced a sponsorship deal with Kroger for the team’s expanded lineup next year. The new sponsor is a massive American retail company, as evidenced by its big market cap of $42 billion (as per Forbes).
NASCAR insider Adam Stern took to X (formerly Twitter) to post Brad Keselowski’s comments on Kroger’s importance for the team’s growth in the Cup Series.
Here’s what Keselowski said:
“That’s so important to us, to be able to branch out and we want to win but we also want to be bigger than our results, too, whether they’re good or bad. You look at the partners and how Kroger has approached the sport, it’s just a proper NASCAR Program with really elite marketing that benefits us in so many different ways.
While exciting times may be ahead for the team, the 2012 NASCAR champ acknowledged that the drivers have to perform on the track and represent the sponsor well off the track.
“But we know we’ve got to go out there and win – we’re committed to doing that, but we also have to do a great job of delivering off the track with how we take care of Kroger.”
This isn’t the first time Kroger has graced the world of NASCAR. The company has been a primary sponsor in the premier series with JTG Daugherty Racing since 2010. It won three races, including the 2023 Daytona 500 and 2024 YellaWood 500 (at Talladega Superspeedway), with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. behind the wheel.
For the 2025 season, Ryan Preece will join Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher in the team’s driver lineup. Preece, who previously drove for the now-discontinued Stewart-Haas Racing team, will drive the new No. 60 Ford. Kroger also once sponsored Preece during his racing days at JTG Daugherty Racing.
RFK Racing will return to the Cup Series with an expanded three-car lineup at the Daytona 500 in February next year. Nearly 20 consumer-facing brands will appear on the team’s three cars as part of the Kroger deal.
Brad Keselowski’s RFK Racing welcomed Ryan Preece to the team
After a series of rumors, RFK Racing finally announced Ryan Preece as its new driver. With a three-car lineup set for next year, the team will have a trio of full-time drivers again after almost a decade.
RFK Racing took to X to post a photo of the 34-year-old driver outside the team HQ in Concord, North Carolina, and welcome him:
“Welcome to RFK Racing, Ryan.”
Ryan Preece will drive the No. 60 Ford Mustang, while Brad Keselowski will still compete in the No. 6 car. Chris Buescher will remain in the No. 17 car at least until next year.
