Due to Coventry City’s demanding match calendar, Mark Robins thinks that he may be without up to four senior players for the duration of the season.

Significant injuries sustained by Fabio Tavares and Victor Torp during Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley prevented them from playing in Wednesday night’s 3-2 loss at home against Hull, where Joel Latibeaudiere aggravated his calf issue that he has been managing and Luis Binks hobbled off with an Achilles problem.

The Sky Blues boss stated that Tavares is the main cause for concern, saying, “Fabio has got to go for a surgical opinion on his ankle.” Due to ligament injury, we must determine if surgery is necessary for him. That should be completed tomorrow, I believe (Thurs).

Victor was in too much discomfort to play (against Hull) because he had ripped a stomach muscle. It appears to be where his hip is attached, in my opinion.

He went on, “Binksy felt that he had to go off during the game because he had a tight Achilles at halftime. I’m not sure how serious that is yet. Joel Latibeaudiere has been dealing with a calf issue for some time now, but today it has somewhat caught up with him.

When asked whether it means they won’t be able to play in the final three league games of the season, which are against Blackburn and Ipswich and QPR at home, he replied, “I don’t know, there’s not long left but potentially yes.” Without a doubt, Fabio, and possibly Joel and Binksy. I’m not positive yet, but I wouldn’t be shocked if he missed the remainder of the campaign. I’m not sure exactly where he is at.

Tavares and Binks, who have both been playing so well lately, were particularly hurt because they had been assured they would participate in the final games.

Robins said, “Yes, it’s unfortunate, but Fabio hasn’t done anything wrong.” He has actually been a huge help to us in that wide position, but he has also scored goals, participated in play, and given us a renewed sense of belonging when he has played in the middle. It’s unfortunate, but we’ll take care of him and work to ensure his speedy recovery, whether or not it involves surgery. But before he can play again, he will need to sit out a while.

When asked if his strong recent performance will motivate him to start strong the following season, the manager replied, “There’s no other option.” He needs to keep working out and staying in shape if he wants to be a player. However, it’s a serious impact injury that was absolutely inevitable.”

He went on to explain what had happened against Manchester United, saying, “It just damaged his ligaments because he got slammed between two legs.” It’s an impact, however I believe there were two players vying for the ball at the same time, and he simply got stuck in between their legs, causing that injury.

Regarding Binks, the loaned defender from Bologna, he continued, saying, “Yes, and I think he’s improved a hell of a lot.” And he’s been better without necessarily playing for the team every week. He’s a bright kid who has been patiently waiting for his opportunities. He is a talented player, so it’s unfortunate that he may get hurt just when you need him to produce and miss the remainder of the season.

However, I’m not sure how serious that is yet, and it’s obvious that he will participate if he’s available. However, I’m not sure how important that is yet.
