Nottingham Forest are interested in an under-21 international who has a higher tackle count than Harry Toffolo.
It appears that Nottingham Forest are close to finalizing a deal, as new transfer links are emerging.
One position on Forest’s shortlist is a full-back, and the Reds have now been linked with one.
Despite having Harry Toffolo and Ola Aina competing for the left-back spot, Forest seems to be seeking another option.
According to L’Equipe, the Reds are aiming to acquire Bradley Locko from Stade Brestois this summer.
The 22-year-old France under-21 international has been a regular in Thierry Henry’s squad during the 2023/24 season.
Brest have surpassed expectations this season, qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in their history.
Locko, who was signed by Stade Brestois from Reims, has recorded three assists in 35 appearances across all competitions this season.
Locko fits the profile of a sound signing
The Reds should concentrate on acquiring young players with significant potential, and Locko fits that profile perfectly.
At 22, Locko is still developing his skills and could join Nottingham Forest with a wealth of untapped potential.
According to Squawka, Locko would likely be an improvement over Toffolo for Forest.
Currently contracted in France until 2027, Locko has won 97 tackles this season, compared to Toffolo’s 26.
This summer, Forest is expected to focus on offloading players, prioritizing quality over quantity in their new signings.
Locko appears to be a very promising addition, and Forest could have a strong chance of securing his signature this summer.
