USC Football News: Undrafted Trojan Finds NFL Home with LA Team.

Justin Dedich, previously an offensive lineman for the USC Trojans, has embarked on his professional football career by signing with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent, staying close to his hometown.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 295 pounds, Dedich is from Temecula and has steadily progressed throughout his time in college. He joined USC early in 2018 but played sparingly and redshirted his freshman year. In 2019, he took on the role of backup center and started the last two games of the season when Brett Neilon was unavailable.

The pandemic-shortened 2020 season limited his appearances to just two games. However, Dedich’s determination paid off in 2021 as he became a regular player, participating in all 12 games and displaying his adaptability by playing both guard and center positions. His impressive performance earned him an Honorable Mention on the Pro Football Focus All-Pac-12 Team.

In 2022, Dedich further expanded his role, starting 11 games at right guard, with additional starts at left guard and center. His stellar play led to another All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention, a spot on the Pro Football Focus All-American Third Team, and a ranking as the seventh-best guard in the nation. He was a key player in USC’s successful 11-3 season, guided by Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams.

Although the Trojans had a less impressive 8-5 season in 2023, Dedich’s consistent performance and potential have earned him the chance to advance his football career with the Rams.
