Osborn left Derby County’s academy system in 2003, joining rivals Nottingham Forest and spending a decade in their youth ranks before making his professional debut at 18. He played 230 games for Forest, scoring 16 goals and providing 31 assists across all competitions.
Initially a left-back in the academy, Osborn transitioned to a midfield role in Forest’s first team, showcasing his versatility. After more than five years at Forest, he moved to Sheffield United for a reported £5 million following their promotion to the Premier League.
