The Athletic reports that we maintain an interest in Anthony Elanga, after considering him in an initial part-exchange deal involving Elliot Anderson. Eddie Howe is believed to admire the winger. The Swedish international impressed us in Forest’s Boxing Day win at St James’ Park and has had a good season at the City Ground, with five goals and nine assists. He could be a target if Miguel Almiron leaves, joining Yankuba Minteh, but many feel we should aim higher if we’re signing only one right winger this summer.
Another potential target is Morgan Gibbs-White. Although the link went quiet after The Telegraph reported in January that he was a key target, Mark Douglas’ latest piece for the i reveals he remains on our radar. The club is keen to sign a right-sided attacker, along with a center-back and striker, should Callum Wilson be sold.
Gibbs-White, a hard-working young English player with quality, versatility, and potential, could develop well under Howe. However, it’s unclear where he fits in our 4-3-3 formation since he’s more of an attacking midfielder and rarely plays on the right wing.
