Celtic transfer claim made over ace exit that is ‘already done’ as Derby County eye star Hoops signed for £3m

Transfer speculation around Celtic continues as Derby County shows interest in one of the club’s defenders, while another is set for a move to a warmer destination.

Celtic defenders Yuki Kobayashi and Gustaf Lagerbielke are the latest players linked with exits from Parkhead. Kobayashi, who did not feature at all last season, is reportedly heading to Portimonense in Portugal after turning down interest from Dundee and St Mirren. According to the Daily Record, Portuguese sources claim the deal is already finalized.

Lagerbielke, who joined Celtic for £3 million last summer, has struggled to break into the first team. Derby County is interested in the Swedish defender, with additional interest from Heerenveen in the Netherlands. Derby County’s CEO, Ferry de Haan, has indicated that while the deal is not yet confirmed, they are optimistic about reaching an agreement. He noted that while they currently have central defenders Pawel Bochniewicz and Sam Kersten, they are looking to strengthen their defense further.
