Brisbane Lions midfielder Jarrod Berry remains a chance to line-up against Essendon on Saturday night after scans on his hamstring returned positive news.
Berry had the scans on Monday after being subbed out at quarter-time of Saturday’s match with Collingwood due to hamstring tightness.
The midfielder was running at training on Tuesday, with the club to wait until after its main training session on Thursday before making a final decision.
In further good news for the Lions, defender Jack Payne (foot) and utility Bruce Reville (fibula) have had their training loads increased as they continue to overcome their respective injuries.
Payne and Reville are both set to return for week one of the VFL finals next weekend, in hope to then be available for selection for AFL finals the following week.
