Qscan Injury Update: Are the Lions fit and firing for round one?

Before their Sunday Grand Final rematch with North Melbourne, the Brisbane Lions AFLW roster will only be missing two players.

Shannon Campbell, a defender and the winner of the preliminary final, is healthy to play against the Kangaroos despite missing the Lions’ final practise due to a minor knee problem.

Dee Heslop, a fellow defender who only returned to the starting lineup following a calf strain during the preseason, will miss the next four weeks but is still getting better.

Due to a broken nose, draftee Evie Long will not be able to participate in selection this week as she tries to break into the Lions AFLW team.

As she continues to progress beyond her rehab timetable, Jade Pregelj, who suffered an ACL injury during the previous season, will start match scrimmage this week.

On Sunday, September 1, the Lions will play a rematch of the Grand Final against North Melbourne at Brighton Homes Arena. Kickoff is at 3:05 p.m.
