A 27-year-old midfielder who is available on a free transfer after leaving French club Lille in the summer is reportedly someone Saints are considering pursuing.HITC is among the media sources speculating that Yusuf Yazici would be headed to the Premier League.
After leaving Lille in the summer, the 27-year-old, who represented Turkey in the most recent Euro 2024 competition, is being pushed by his agent.
Galatasaray, in his home Turkey, is reportedly leading the pursuit to get him on a free transfer, but it appears that his agency has his sights set higher—Manchester United His agency is rumoured to have approached Tottenham, Aston Villa, Newcastle, and Aston Villa; his previous boss at Lille, Paulo Fonseca, who is currently at AC Milan, is also rumoured to be interested.

Therefore, even if we were to pursue this at the incredible low cost of paying no transfer fees at all, I would be shocked. It does, however, show that there are still a few good players available on free transfers, and Southampton might look into this option for other positions.
