For Astros supporters, Justin Verlander’s most recent disastrous start is the tipping point.

The Astros have seen an increasing trend with this. Framber Valdez is a postseason starter who is best left alone. Verlander had been the same for ages. But now he’s very much in the running to lose his spot. Heck, the odds are higher than even that it has been lost already. Ronel Blanco has been unstoppable this season, and Yusei Kikuchi has performed better than expected since joining the team at the trade deadline.
