AFL pundits have taken a hard line at Hawthorn controversy-monger Jack Ginnivan for causing yet another needless stir before the Hawks play Port Adelaide in the elimination final.
Ginnivan had previously caused a fuss when he visited a pub in Richmond the night before Hawthorn’s first elimination matchup with the Western Bulldogs.
He then gave the Bulldogs supporters a stern talking match when he taunted them with a drinking gesture in celebration of a goal in their 4.15 (99) to 9.8 (62) triumph.
With just four succinct remarks, the contentious celebrity continued to stomp out the opposition on Friday night.
Following Sydney’s derby victory against GWS, his former Collingwood teammate shared pictures of themselves on Instagram with their teammates.
With his reply, “see u in 14 days,” Ginnivan implied that the Hawks would easily defeat Port Adelaide and get a first-round bye against the Swans.
Hundreds of people responded to his comment, with many criticising him for being an early adopter.
“Young blood, one week at a time,” one person wrote.
Another person questioned, “You are an arrogant bloke aren’t ya?”
Another person commented with a laughing emoji, “Coming from someone who did nothing in a gf you definitely have a lot of nerve.”

Putting his tongue firmly in his cheek, one follower enquired, “Do you need some pub recommendations in Sydney?”
“I like your boldness there,” another person said.
However, media star and Port Adelaide premiership winner Kane Cornes was not amused by the remark.
“Jack Ginnivan has succeeded once more.” Cornes stated on SEN Sportsday, “He is a distraction and he has made it all about himself again.”
He believes he has already won, but he needs to arrive in Adelaide on Friday night.
“Is there anyone less able to read the room than Jack Ginnivan?”
According to Cornes, the approach can backfire since it might give Port the boost it needs to recover from Geelong’s humiliation during the first week of the finals.
Right now, everything is going great for him, and Hawthorn is supporting him and pleased for him to go to the bar before supper and enjoy the festivities. “The social media content is excellent,” Cornes remarked.
However, when you get ahead of yourself, Port Adelaide extra might only need 5% motivation to get fired up before Friday night. Ginnivan believes he’s advanced to the preliminary round.
