Southampton could face battle to keep Tyler Dibling amid Manchester United interest

It’s been reported that Dibling and Southampton are trying to work out a new deal, which is maybe not surprising given his strong season opener.

Considering that the adolescent is now paid £5,000 per week under his current contract, the club will be hoping that this deters any possible suitors from trying to secure a cut-price deal for him.

“Manchester United is keeping an eye on Southampton prodigy Tyler Dibling,” per a report published by Give Me Sport.

The story continues, saying that “despite the Saints’ hopes of persuading him to sign a new contract on the south coast following a huge breakthrough at the start of the season,” United would be interested in trying to turn Dibling’s mind.

Dan Ashworth, United’s new sporting director, may be crucial to any prospective transfer, as Give Me Sport reveals: United is hiding.

Dan Ashworth, the club’s new Sporting Director, has already attempted to sign him while at Newcastle, but he was turned down in the northeast. Despite this, he decided not to pursue him at this point in his career.

It is hard to argue that Dibling is not in the finest spot at this point in his career in Southampton.

It is improbable that he would receive that at a team the size of United. At the age of 18, he is playing Premier League football under a manager who adores him and has a track record of nurturing young players.

Prior to the 5-3 Carabao Cup second round victory in which he recorded two assists, Martin called Dibling a “special talent.”

“I want to be cautious of it because in this country we have a habit of building people up so early and then enjoying the fact that they don’t quite reach their potential,” Martin remarked in response to the star following a cameo against Everton in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

“The most important thing I can say, in my opinion, is that his performance indicates how we feel about him as an eighteen-year-old. We trust him with the things that he is capable of doing.

“We really demand a lot of Tyler but we also give him a lot of love,” the Saints manager continued.

“He is extremely gifted, and I think he will play at the very highest level if he continues to pay attention, develop, and get better.”

In order for everyone to focus on what is occurring on the game, Southampton will be hoping that Dibling accepts the deal that is expected to be offered. Despite his advanced age, the offensive midfielder appears to be essential to the team’s survival prospects.
