Texans in complete shocked as Stroud left in tears and…

Vikings game leaves the Texans in complete disarray after a startling run of penalties.

In a matchup of two unbeaten teams early in the season, CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans go to Minnesota on Sunday afternoon. Although the Texans haven’t exactly dominated the early going in the season, Stroud has maintained his status as one of the league’s best rookie quarterbacks, particularly in last week’s game against the Chicago Bears.
Unfortunately, Houston’s start to the game on Sunday wasn’t all that smooth. The club made two mistakes on their own end of the field in the first quarter, including a Stroud interception just 30 seconds into the contest.
The Texans would again shoot themselves in the foot later in the first half when they would commit not one, not two, but three straight false start penalties, moving themselves from a third and four to a third and 19, and thus out of field goal range (via Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team on X, formerly Twitter).
The crowd went understandably crazy in response, realizing that the Texans were obviously having trouble hearing Stroud yell out the signals due to their loud volume.
It was an odd location for a Texans team that, through three games this season—including a road victory against the Indianapolis Colts in week one—has been the model of cool, collected, and collected.
