Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is hurt during a defeat

Late in the New York Giants’ 20–15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, top rookie receiver Malik Nabers suffered a concussion, ending his fourth game as a professional early.
Three and a half minutes remaining in East Rutherford, New Jersey, saw the Giants down 20–15. Facing a fourth-and–six from their own 39-yard line, Jones found Nabers down the left sideline at the Dallas 35.
Nabers was unable to hang onto the ball as he attempted to finish the reception and maintain his feet in bounds while going out of bounds. His head struck the ground facemask first as he descended. After spending a few minutes on the ground, he made his way to the blue medical tent. He wasNabers caught 12 passes for 115 yards at the game’s conclusion. His two previous games with ten or more receptions were against Washington in Week 2 when he grabbed ten passes for 127 yards and a touchdown.
Nabers, the No. 6 overall choice from LSU in this year’s draft, has already caught 35 passes for 386 yards and three touchdowns in his first four games. With one reception behind Rashee Rice of Kansas City for the league lead in touchdown catches, the 21-year-old was tied for seventh place in receiving yards going into Week 4. He currently has the lead in all three categories, or is tied for the lead, according to Thursday’s numbers.
