The Detroit Lions return home for their only game at Ford Field in a five-game stretch, and they are heavy favorites over a 1-5 Tennessee Titans’ team that seems ready to punt on the 2024 season.

Here is the final Week 8 injury report for the Lions

  • DL Josh Paschal (illness)-Out
  • OG Christian Mahogany (illness)-Out
  • OG Kevin Zeitler (groin)-No designation
  • C Frank Ragnow (rest)-No designation
  • OT Taylor Decker (rest)-No designation
  • OG Graham Glasgow (rest)-No designation
  • DL Levi Onwuzurike (rest)-No designation

The “bigs” as Dan Campbell called them (Decker, Ragnow, Glasgow, Onwuzurike) got a rest day on Wednesday, all four were full participants on Thursday and Friday and all four carry no injury designation for Sunday.

Zeitler missed Week 7 with a hip issue, when he was first listed the Thursday before with a groin issue. Three straight full practices this week say he’ll be back in the lineup at right guard on Sunday.

Paschal missed all three days of practice this week due to an illness, and on Friday he told reporters he would not be playing on Sunday. He acknowledged to Ben Raven of MLive that it’s something that came up during his annual check-up after being diagnosed with cancer when he was in college, but it’s not a long-term concern.

With Paschal out, and the injuries we know about for Aidan Hutchinson and Marcus Davenport, here’s how the Lions’ defensive end depth chart looks heading toward Sunday’s game. Onwuzurike and rookie Mekhi Wingo are in line to see edge rusher snaps on Sunday.

Looks like a clear opportunity to showcase James Houston for a trade, and even when Paschal is back healthy a clear impetus to make a trade for an edge rusher.

Mahogany is out again, as his 21-day window to be added to the 53-man roster winds down. If he’s not added to the active roster by close of business next Tuesday, he’ll have to be shut down for the season. The Lions have an open roster spot.

And here’s the final Week 8 injury report for the Titans.

  • CB L’Jarius Sneed (quad)-Out
  • OT Jaelyn Duncan (hamstring)-Out
  • LB Cedric Gray (shoulder)-Out
  • QB Will Levis (shoulder)-Questionable
  • RB Tyjae Spears (hamstring)-Questionable
  • LB Jerome Baker (NIR-rest)-Questionable
  • CB Jarvis Brownlee (ankle)-Questionable
  • NT T’Vondre Sweat (hip)-Questionable
  • WR Calvin Ridley (foot)-No designation
  • DT Jeffery Simmons (NIR-rest)-No designation
  • LB Kenneth Murray (shoulder)-No designation
  • RB Julius Chestnut (calf)-No designation
  • DL Keondre Coburn (knee/illness-No designation
