Get ready to go backstage with Bruce Springsteen, as the New Jersey rock icon and his legendary E Street Band share their journey in the new documentary Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, now available on Hulu.

Directed by Thom Zimny, a frequent collaborator of Springsteen’s, with the artist himself co-producing, the film offers an intimate view of the band’s electrifying 2023-24 tour. According to the film’s synopsis, viewers get “the most in-depth look ever at the creation of their legendary live performances,” featuring band rehearsals, behind-the-scenes moments, rare archival footage, and reflections from Springsteen.

This tour, the band’s first since 2017, faced two postponements due to the pandemic, with Springsteen saying his goal after COVID was to throw “the biggest party I could.” Blending elements of concert film and documentary, Road Diary includes interviews with band members like guitarists Nils Lofgren and Steven Van Zandt (the tour’s official music director), bassist Garry Tallent, pianist Roy Bittan, and drummer Max Weinberg, as well as archival appearances from late saxophonist Clarence Clemons and original member Danny Federici.
