The new club for the axed Collingwood tall has been confirmed.

Aiden Begg Returns to Grassroots Football with North Ringwood

In an exciting development for local football, recently delisted Collingwood ruckman Aiden Begg is making his return to the field at the grassroots level, rejoining his junior club, North Ringwood, in the Eastern Football Netball League (EFNL) for the 2025 season.

A Promising Start and Challenges

Begg, who was drafted to Collingwood via the Mid-Season Draft in 2021 from the Eastern Ranges, had a promising start to his AFL career. He debuted in 2022 against Gold Coast, impressively notching up 15 disposals, three clearances, four inside 50s, and four marks, helping the Magpies secure a victory. However, his trajectory was hampered by injuries, limiting him to just three senior games throughout his tenure with the club.

In 2024, a knee injury sustained in the VFL sidelined Begg for much of the season, ultimately leading to his delisting at the conclusion of the year. Despite the setbacks, his passion for the game remained unwavering.
