On Wednesday, the NFL released the official schedule for the 2024 season. While schedule release night is primarily about learning when teams will play which games, and trying to predict how they will perform in those games, the night is also about how teams decide to unveil their schedule. Every team takes a unique approach for what is now referred to as social media teams’ Super Bowl.

The New  Saints unveiled their schedule in a video where the organization was interviewing candidates for an open social media intern role. However, the interviewees were high-profile candidates like Alvin Kamara, Drew Brees, Derek Carr, Dustin Poirier, Mickey Loomis, Kay Adams, and many more. However, it wasn’t the cameos that stole the show, it was the name for a rival on the schedule.

In the video, instead of hiring a candidate, the Saints decided to use an AI post generator to unveil the schedule. That’s when the schedule popped on the screen with all of the opponents listed. In Week 4, though, the listed opponen was “They not like us,” and in Week 10, the listed opponent was “Bless their hearts.” These are the two weeks that New Orleans plays the Atlanta Falcons. The Saints made it very clear who their rivals are, not even mentioning their name.New Orleans listed every other team with their normal name, even the Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This made it clear that it’s a special kind of beef with Atlanta. That’s no surprise, though, as it has been that way for years. However, things went to another level last year in the regular season finale, with the fake-kneel touchdown in the Saints’ blowout win over the Falcons.
