FAREWELL:Borussia Mönchengladbach star gives five shocking reasons why he is leaving the club

BORUSSIA MÖNCHENGLADBACH WILL LOOK TO OFFLOAD ALASSANE PLÉA THIS SUMMER

According to Bild, Borussia Mönchengladbach plans to offload striker Alassane Pléa this summer, as his contract is set to expire next year. The club is reluctant to extend Pléa’s contract due to his high salary, and if the 31-year-old is unwilling to accept a pay cut, Gladbach will seek to sell him.

This decision is motivated by the desire to avoid situations like those with Marcus Thuram, Ramy Bensebaini, and Matthias Ginter, who all left on free transfers. Selling Pléa this summer would allow Gladbach to secure a decent fee for him, currently valued at €7m, though this is less than the €23m they spent in 2019 to bring him to Borussia Park.

The funds from Pléa’s sale could be used to acquire his replacement. Reports from Bild and Sky Germany suggest that Heidenheim striker Tim Kleindienst, valued at around €7-8m, is the intended target. Negotiations are ongoing, and Heidenheim seeks a decision on Kleindienst’s future by July 1st.
