Tottenham, Arsenal put firmly in their place by Premier League boss over chase for electric £53m winger

Numerous teams are after Portuguese forward Jota Silva, including Wolverhampton Wanderers, Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth, and Celtic, as HITC knows.

The 24-year-old attacker for Vitoria Guimaraes has had an outstanding season for his team, earning him a call-up to the national team.

Jota Silva came to Vitoria from Casa Pia in the summer of 2022, but it’s this season that he’s truly come into his own.
He has played mostly as the right side of a front three and has nine goals and six assists in 25 games thus far.

According to HITC, the player has been viewed by half of the Premier League teams, including Gary O’Neil’s Wolves, Southampton and Leicester City from the English Championship, and Celtic, the Scottish champions.

On Thursday night, Roberto Martinez’s Portugal will play an international friendly against Sweden before traveling to Slovenia to face off against them.

During these games, Jota Silva hopes to gain his first caps for his nation and raise his profile even more around Europe.

The future of Pedro Neto at Wolves

When the transfer window reopens, Silva might not be the only Portuguese winger moving if he is able to clinch a deal in the summer.

According to sources who spoke with HITC Football, Wolves won’t stop Pedro Neto from leaving this summer, but they do demand a club-record price for his skills.

Arsenal, led by Mikel Arteta, and Liverpool, who will have a new manager in charge for the upcoming campaign, are the two teams showing interest.

With an injury, the 24-year-old is currently sidelined once more, but he hopes to return before the season is out.
