Bristol Rovers
It has been confirmed that Jerry Lawrence and Ollie Dewsbury have both joined Yate Town on loan, competing in the Pitching In Southern League Division One South.
Jerry Lawrence, who was awarded Bristol Rovers’ U18 Player of the Year in May 2022, was promoted to train with the first team for the 2022/23 season. He made his senior debut for Rovers in August 2022 during a 4-0 victory over Burton Albion in Sky Bet League One. The 19-year-old signed his first professional contract in October 2022 and has since enjoyed loan stints at Salisbury and Tiverton Town.
Meanwhile, 16-year-old Ollie Dewsbury has been turning heads at Rovers, particularly during pre-season. He scored in a 4-2 win over Melksham Town in a friendly and came off the bench in a 3-3 draw against Tottenham Hotspur’s Under-21s during the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.
Bristol Rovers have extended their best wishes to both Lawrence and Dewsbury for their time at Yate Town.
