Both Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift have endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming election against Donald Trump. However, there is no evidence to support the claim that either Springsteen or Swift stated they would leave the country if Trump won. This rumor is unfounded.

If there were even a hint of truth to this claim — for example, if Springsteen had joked to reporters about leaving the country if Trump were reelected — reputable media outlets would likely have reported it. However, as of 2024, no such comments have been documented.

In the lead-up to the 2020 election, Springsteen did make a remark about leaving the country if Trump won, and it was reported at the time. But there is no evidence of him or Swift making similar comments for the 2024 election, as Snopes previously confirmed.

The rumor that prominent celebrities would leave the U.S. if a particular candidate won is a long-standing one. Snopes has investigated similar claims for more than two decades. Regarding the 2024 election, Snopes also reviewed such rumors about Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, Miley Cyrus, Jack Black, and Tom Hanks. In each case, the claims were false or unsubstantiated.
