BREAKING-Two forgotten summer signings have been waiting in the wings

Since coming through the door, Spanish left-back Alex Valle and Finnish goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo have combined for 0 minutes of action. This is not meant as an attack on the management; rather, it is improbable that Sinisalo, who came in as second fiddle to the more seasoned Kasper Schmeichel, anticipated playing time with the starting squad when the season initially started.

Valle, on the other hand, might be taken aback because, despite starting all three games as a substitute, he has failed to appear in any of the Rangers, Hearts, or Slovan Bratislava games.

Sinisalo and Valle will have the opportunity to play with their new teammates and in front of an enthusiastic Celtic Park crowd tomorrow.

Kasper Schmeichel’s time at Celtic could not be starting any better. With five clean sheets in his first five league games, he has already made history—something no Celtic goalkeeper has done since the 1906–1907 campaign. He is not required to participate in tomorrow’s match against Falkirk, though.

It is very possible that Sinisalo will be the Celtic number one in the future. The manager may gain more confidence in the 22-year-old goalie by learning about Celtic’s style of play and gaining comfort with the ball at his feet in high-pressure situations. There are no drawbacks that I can think of to not starting him.

During the summer transfer window, it was evident that Celtic needed to acquire a left-back. The Hoops had little depth at the position and nearly had a defensive meltdown the previous season due to an injury to Greg Taylor.

Taylor has established himself as the starting left back thanks to his outstanding play, but the Barcelona left back who is currently on loan will only strengthen his defense.

The Spaniard, who did not play in Barcelona’s opening two La Liga games, had a decent resume going into Celtic Park. Fans of the Celtics are eager to watch him play. The best moment to start him tomorrow is now, as it will boost his self-assurance and ease his transfer to Scottish football.

There are other players who we might see make their debuts besides the summer signing pair. Auston Trusty, an American defender, will probably get the start. Paulo Bernardo and Adam Idah will also benefit.

When November rolls around, Celtic will be the only Glasgow team without a home game at the national stadium this season. Therefore, tomorrow’s match against in-form Falkirk presents Brendan Rodgers with the perfect opportunity to start our new recruits as we aim to advance to the League Cup semi-final.
