Celtic have announced their complete squad for the 2024/25 Champions League campaign. The Scottish Premiership champions have named their full 25-player roster, including all their major summer signings, under the management of Brendan Rodgers.
Celtic will face Slovan Bratislava in their opening match of the group stage later this month, as they aim to advance to the knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 2012/13 season. Their other group-stage opponents will be Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Atalanta, Club Brugge, Dinamo Zagreb, Young Boys, and Aston Villa.
The 25-man squad also features Arne Engels, Alex Valle, and Luke McCowan, alongside fringe players Stephen Welsh, Maik Nawrock, and the previously overlooked academy product Adam Montgomery.
Celtic squad registered for the 2024/25 Champions League in full:
Goalkeepers: Kasper Schmeichel, Viljami Sinisalo, Scott Bain.
Defenders: Alistair Johnston, Greg Taylor, Liam Scales, Auston Trusty, Alex Valle, Maik Nawrocki, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Anthony Ralston, Stephen Welsh.
Midfielders: Reo Hatate, Luis Palma, Nicolas Kuhn, Yang Hyun-jun, Luke McCowan, Arne Engels, Paulo Bernardo, Callum McGregor, James Forrest, and Adam Montgomery are part of Celtic’s squad, alongside forwards Kyogo Furuhashi, Adam Idah, and Daizen Maeda. Despite summer rumors linking Gustav Isaksen with a move to Celtic, the Danish player revealed he never seriously considered leaving Lazio. Isaksen expressed that moving away from Lazio after just a year would feel monotonous, as he values the potential to grow within the club and would prefer to stay unless something truly compelling comes along.
