Watford is in talks with the young player in an attempt to entice him to the Championship at the end of this campaign.
The 18-year-old Vata’s contract expires this summer, and Celtic runs the possibility of losing him due to other offers.
The Daily Record claims that the Hornets have reached out, but they will have to contend with rivals like AC Milan, Bologna, and Sampdoria Como. He has reportedly been extended an offer by the Hoops through 2027, although he has not yet accepted it.
Watford in Celtic attacker talks
In the long run, Watford may view Vata as someone who can strengthen their offensive unit. With a bright future ahead of him in the game, the youth is highly regarded.
The Glasgow-born man has progressed through Celtic’s academy systems and has been a member of the team during his whole career.
Having played at several youth levels for the Scottish Premiership giants, he most recently made a name for himself as a regular for their B team in the Lowland League, where he scored 30 goals in 58 appearances.
The young Ireland international has made six appearances for the Hoops’ first squad and has contributed one goal.
But, Vata’s long-term future with Brendan Rodgers’ team is currently in doubt, and he must decide what to do next while teams from all around the world watch.
In order to eventually make it to the Premier League, Watford might offer him an opportunity to demonstrate his abilities in the United Kingdom.
However, relocating to Italy might be a wise choice on his part. In 2022, Lewis Ferguson moved from Aberdeen to Bologna, and that move has greatly benefited him.
