Philippe Clement provides injury update on his Rangers squad pre-Celtic

An injury report on Philippe Clement’s Rangers team has been released ahead of tomorrow’s Old Firm clash

Tomorrow lunchtime, the Ibrox team will travel a short distance across Glasgow to take on Celtic, their bitter rivals, in their first Scottish Premiership encounter of the year.

Regarding the Belgian’s team selection, it’s excellent news because most of his players are healthy and prepared to play.

Everyone is back in the running, including Oscar Cortes, who is back in training, but Ridvan Yilmaz is still out.

Regarding his signings on deadline day, the manager did give an update, stating: “Nedim Bajrami paperwork is not fully completed, so will not be available.” Neraysho Kasanwirjo is a candidate for selection, however his training time has been restricted.”

Todd Cantwell, meanwhile, asserts that since joining Rangers in January 2022, the team has undergone changes.

The English midfielder joined the team under Michael Beale’s direction, but at the beginning of the summer, he decided he no longer wanted to play Scottish football and begged to leave.

He hasn’t been able to play for the Ibrox squad since, waiting to be plucked by another team.

On the day of the deadline, Blackburn Rovers emerged with a £500k price, which was sufficient to complete the sale.

And as of right now, Cantwell has commented on his time in Govan on Instagram twice in a 24-hour period.

He thanked supporters last night and urged them not to accept everything they read or hear in the media, but this morning he started to provide more details about his reasoning for leaving, implying that things were not going well between him and manager Clement.

“It’s been an honour to play for this incredible football club; some of the staff behind the scenes are the hardest of workers but also incredible people,” Cantwell wrote in an Instagram post.

“I have had an absolute blast performing in the renowned blue room each and every time. It was never my decision to claim that I didn’t want to play for the club, and I never would.

“My family and I have always been Rangers. The Rangers I signed with are not the same as the ones I’m leaving. Mon the Germans.”
