What Mark Guidi knows about Callum McGregor’s injury at Celtic has been disclosed.

It is a major setback for Rodgers to lose the Celtic captain at this point in the season because he has been essential to the team’s success the last two years.
Finding a competent substitute for McGregor seems to be an impossible task for the Celtic boss, who has tried all season to find one for Reo Hatate.
Not very long ago, there were social media rumors going around that Celtics supporters had heard McGregor would miss the remainder of the season.
That specific rumor was undoubtedly created by the concern that McGregor’s absence produced, but Brendan Rodgers put an end to it when he stated that the Celtic captain will return following the international break.
Whether McGregor will be ready for the Livingston game on March 31 is unknown, though. Is he going to be well enough for the Glasgow Derby?
Journalist Mark Guidi has provided information regarding the Celtic captain’s circumstances.

Livingston may not be a good fit for McGregor.

Along with Rodgers, the seasoned journalist appears to be taking steps to allay the fears of Celtic supporters by dispelling the rumors that McGregor might be sidelined for months.

“I don’t know the exact timeframe from being back for Celtic, but I think it’ll be sooner rather than later,” Guidi stated on The Go Radio Football Show.
However, there aren’t any long-term issues at all. There’s no need to worry, for instance, about being prepared for the Scottish Cup semi-final and the Euros.
I’m not sure if he will return in time to travel to Livingston at the end of the month.

“However, there’s no indication that he might be absent for two, three, or four months. That is just untrue.

It is not even worth considering playing the Ibrox side without the captain and Reo Hatate, so hopefully McGregor will be ready for the match.
McGregor needs to be excluded from the Livingston match. Any injured player hoping to return to the Celtic first team on April 7th should avoid playing on that artificial pitch. Hopefully, by then, he will have recovered sufficiently to start at Ibrox.
