After suffering two consecutive losses, the Chicago Bulls will be looking to get back to winning ways when they take on the Charlotte Hornets. But it looks like they could be without a few key players on the day.
The Bulls are 10-15 to start off the season. They have been better than most people had anticipated but still, look like a play-in team at best. The organization has been caught up in this cycle of mediocrity for many years now and it might be time for a rebuild.
One of the bright spots for the Bulls so far this season has been the exceptional play of Nikola Vucevic. His output going forward has been extraordinary after many people had written the former All-Star off over the summer.
On the other hand, Josh Giddey is still trying to find his feet in Chicago since he was brought in in a trade that saw Alex Caruso, one of the Bulls’ best players, join the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Both of them could miss the next game. According to K.C. Johnson on X, the Bulls list Vucevic (illness) and Giddey (low back spasms) as questionable against the Hornets.
Zach LaVine (low back spasms) is probable, as is Lonzo Ball. So, do not be surprised if the Bulls decide to field a heavily rotated team against the Hornets, even though it is viewed as a ‘winnable’ game. Of course, the Hornets have their own issues going into the game as well. Miles Bridges is questionable with a bone bruise in his right knee while LaMelo Ball, Grant Williams and Tre Mann are out.
