The Sky Blues manager acknowledged that his team was fatigued and injured heading into the weekend following the midweek loss to Hull City.

Following their trip to Ewood Park this weekend, Coventry will play another midweek match after taking on Manchester United on Sunday and Hull on Wednesday.

While Fabio Tavares has been ruled out, they are anxious about the health of Luis Binks, Joel Latibeaudiere, and Victor Torp.

Kyle McFadzean will play against his old team for the first time on Saturday, and Robins is excited to have him back.

He declared, “His time here is well documented, and he’s a top person who was absolutely brilliant for us.”

Everyone shared the same sentiment that it was sorry to see him go. He was a pillar of the team and is well-liked by the players, staff, and supporters. He will always hold a special place in the hearts of the supporters and the history of our club. He is an exceptional human being.

With Rovers next up, Coventry had little left to gain from their season-ending failure to make the play-offs. Once more, Robins conveyed his satisfaction with the performances his players have shown this week.

While there are things about which everyone is proud, in the end, we will all be let down. Things will alter after that when we have more time to reflect on them,” he remarked.

“When you reach that point after being high achievers for a while, you know it’s going to be difficult and a difficult ask.

“At the levels we’ve been asked to play at, it’s always a tremendous ask, the number of games we have to play in a short amount of time.

The other night, I was incredibly pleased of them for the levels they were able to achieve. We weren’t expecting to reach such levels, but they gave it their all.

They’ve gone through a difficult time and a mentally trying time as well, so giving it your all at any point will serve you well.

“After the season, when we reflect, we can start to look back and see what we’ve done, what they’ve done, how we’ve improved, and how we go again next season.”
