It’s safe to say that the Dallas Cowboys intend to explore new approaches for the 2024 season.

One thing is guaranteed: Dak Prescott is the team’s starting quarterback, at least until further notice.As a backup, Cooper Rush and Trey Lance may battle it out for the QB2 position, but both will be at coach Mike McCarthy’s disposal for any unforeseen circumstances or needs.

Before the 2023 season began, Dallas decided to make a trade with the San Francisco 49ers for Lance. Jerry Jones’ team got the signal-caller in exchange for a fourth-round pick in this year’s draft.

The product of North Dakota didn’t fulfil the expectations of the Niners and didn’t take on any major responsibilities on America’s Team either: since he arrived, he’s only been in practice reps.
