Emma Raducanu recently shared an adorable selfie from a night out. The picture was followed by a video from a gym session she took part, in preparation for the upcoming 2024 Billie Jean King Cup Finals.
Last season, Raducanu underwent three surgeries – one on her right ankle and two on her wrists, which kept her off the court for most of the year. She made her return at the 2024 ASB Classic, where she was defeated in the second round by Elina Svitolina. In the Grand Slam tournaments, she reached the second round at the Australian Open and withdrew from the French Open.
The former World No. 10 reached the fourth round at Wimbledon and suffered a first-round exit at the US Open. Following her appearance at the US Open, she was set to compete in the Asian swing but only participated in the 2024 Korea Open.
In Seoul, South Korea, Raducanu defeated Peyton Stearns 7-6(4), 7-6(5) in the first round and then overcame Yue Yuan 6-4, 6-3 in the second round. However, she was forced to retire from her quarterfinal match against top seed Daria Kasatkina due to a foot issue.
Recently, Raducanu took to social media and shared a blurry photo from her night out. She followed that with a video of her training in the gym the next morning on a stationary bicycle in preparation for the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup Finals.
Earlier this year, Raducanu played a key role in Great Britain’s 3-1 victory over France in the Billie Jean King Cup qualifying round. She won two matches out of four, defeating Caroline Garcia and Diane Parry.
