Fremantle Dockers’ star players will face challenges leading into the 2025 season, with key injuries set to impact the team’s lineup. Sean Darcy, the 203cm ruckman, has been struggling with knee issues that limited his participation in the 2024 season to just 12 games.
Though there are concerns about whether he will require surgery, coach Justin Longmuir is optimistic that Darcy can overcome his injury and return to full fitness next year, where he’s expected to play a pivotal role
Meanwhile, veteran stars Nat Fyfe and Michael Walters are also confirmed to continue into 2025. Despite Fyfe’s reduced midfield presence and recurring concerns over his form, his physicality and clearance work still make him an asset to the team. Walters, who suffered hamstring injuries in 2024, is looking to bounce back next season after contributing 17 goals in 17 games
Fremantle’s 2025 campaign will heavily rely on these players’ recoveries, and their ability to remain fit and contribute to the Dockers’ hopes of returning to finals contention.
