Florida State football is gearing up for its 2024 season opener against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Dublin, Ireland, now less than eleven weeks away. Fans are eager to see how the team, with its many new additions, performs.

Head coach Mike Norvell aims for sustainable long-term success and is determined to avoid any setbacks. Although the road ahead is challenging, Norvell believes success is attainable with the right mindset.

The Seminoles have enhanced their roster through recruiting and the transfer portal, achieving a balance that the coaching staff is pleased with. During the summer, players have limited activities beyond workouts.

Recently, three true freshmen—running back Kameron Davis, defensive end Amaree Williams, and kicker Jake Weinberg—decided to enjoy some downtime by going fishing together.

On Sunday afternoon, Williams shared their fishing trip on social media. While not related to football, this outing is a memorable experience for the players, potentially becoming a cherished memory for their future families as well. Williams’ fishing attempts showed he was trying to catch everything he could.

Regarding football, I believe running back Kameron Davis has the potential to earn significant playing time due to his size and speed. Meanwhile, Weinberg and Williams might be redshirt candidates this season, not because of their talent, but as a strategic decision.

Overall, I am excited to see these young men begin their collegiate careers.
