Millwall and Standard Liege are among several clubs interested in signing Hibernian defender Rocky Bushiri, sources say. The 24-year-old, one of Hibs’ top earners and in the last year of his contract, might be available for a reduced fee around £250,000. While Millwall is considering him to strengthen their defense, Standard Liege wants to bring the former Belgium Under-21 international back to Belgium. Bushiri has not yet played in the Scottish Premiership this season, remaining an unused substitute in both games, though he has made 73 appearances for Hibs since joining.
Millwall want to give Rocky Bushiri some Championship experience
Bushiri has had experience playing in England before, but he hasn’t yet competed in the Championship, a situation Millwall aims to alter. While he had a stint in League One with Blackpool, making four appearances, he has also played in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League. Millwall will hope to persuade Bushiri to relocate to England rather than go back to Belgium.
