Millwall defender calls the new campaign “frustrating”

It’s annoying, Hutchinson remarked. Performance-wise, there have been many excellent moments. There have been moments in almost every game where we have either attacked or defended quite well.

“This season, we’ve definitely generated more opportunities than any Millwall squad I’ve played with in a long time. Although I believe that many teams would agree with me, I believe that we ought to score more points.

Hutchinson’s summer wasn’t easy. In mid-July, the club extended the defender’s contract by one year after releasing him. Following Steve Kavanagh’s resignation as CEO of Millwall in May, a number of players’ contracts were up for renewal.

“It was obviously not ideal the way the off-season went, with me coming in quite late,” Hutchinson remarked. However, regardless of age, football players always have something to prove—whether they are 23 or 33. I still want to demonstrate my ability to play on the squad and at this level.

Jake Cooper, the center back, is expected to miss the game this weekend, thus Hutchinson will probably start against QPR. The 33-year-old started the Millwall Championship season at the back, but after Japhet Tanganga’s transfer was official, he was no longer the starting defender.

Hutchinson remarked, “It’s unfortunate about Jake Cooper.” “It doesn’t seem like it will be very significant, which is fortunate for us because Cooper is a major contributor. I’ll simply have to do what I always do, which is give my all when called upon.
