Millwall striker Kevin Nisbet is set to join Aberdeen on loan, with the Lions including a recall option in the deal.

Millwall striker Kevin Nisbet has joined Aberdeen on loan, with Millwall retaining the option to recall him in the January transfer window.

Nisbet, who has played just six minutes for Millwall this season and was absent for the EFL Cup match against Portsmouth and last weekend’s Championship loss to Bristol City, has struggled to make an impact since his arrival from Hibernian last summer.

The 27-year-old featured in 17 league matches during his first season with Millwall but made only one brief appearance after January due to a hamstring injury. He still has two years remaining on his contract with Millwall.

Millwall had previously pulled out of a deal for Nisbet in January after medical tests but eventually completed the transfer in June. Aberdeen recently sold Bojan Miovski to Girona for a club-record £6.8 million fee.
