Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Röhl is considering whether striker Ike Ugbo will start in today’s match against Millwall. In his pre-match press conference, Röhl commented on Ugbo’s progress: “It was a good start, and it was beneficial that he played some minutes with Jamal in the second half. He needed time due to missing our pre-season, but he’s getting closer and closer. His goal was excellent, and we’re moving in the right direction.”
Röhl acknowledged the challenge of playing at Millwall, noting that last season’s 2-0 victory there was crucial for their survival fight. He emphasized that Millwall’s form under Neil Harris has been strong, with their recent results being close and competitive. Röhl stressed the need for intensity, winning duels, and defending set pieces well while bringing their own style of play to the game.
Röhl also addressed the hostile atmosphere at Millwall, noting that while the crowd creates a lot of energy, it’s essential for Wednesday to maintain their own approach and not get drawn into Millwall’s style.
