Jameson Williams, a wide receiver for the Lions, had a strong performance in the team’s Week 1 overtime victory over the Rams, and it appears he can continue to build momentum against the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Williams’ hamstring issue kept him out of practice all week, thus his availability to play against the Bucs was labeled as questionable. However, according to several reports, Williams should start for Detroit.
Last Saturday, Williams had five receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown. He also had one 13-yard run.
Regardless of Williams’ availability, the Lions added wide receivers Tom Kennedy and Tim Patrick to their roster on Saturday in an effort to increase their depth at the position.

Because of injury worries, the Lions are adding Patrick and Kennedy to strengthen their wide receiver depth. Due to an ankle injury that kept him out of practice all week, wide receiver Jameson Williams was downgraded to questionable, while rookie wide receiver Isiah Williams will not play against the Buccaneers.

Patrick will make his first appearance on the active roster of the season, while Kennedy was elevated and participated in the Lions’ Week 1 triumph over the Los Angeles Rams. With the Denver Broncos in 2021, Patrick had a fantastic season, catching 53 catches.On Sunday, the Lions and Buccaneers will play a rematch of last season’s playoff game at home. The Lions’ 26-20 overtime victory over the Rams will mark their second straight game against a playoff opponent. The Buccaneers just defeated the Washington Commanders 37–20 in a convincing fashion.
On Sunday, right tackle Luke Goedeke, safety Antoine Winfield Jr., and defensive tackle Calijah Kancey will be sidelined for the Buccaneers. Zyon McCollum, the starting cornerback, is rated as questionable after completing the concussion protocol after being hit last week.
