Norwich City star reflects on injury torment

In Tuesday night’s 3-0 triumph over Young Boys in Switzerland, Norwich City’s record sale came on as a late substitute as he continues to accelerate his recuperation from the serious ligament injury he suffered in August of last year.

The Villa Park supporters welcomed him back to Premier League play as Villa defeated Everton 3-2 over the weekend, and he was warmly welcomed. Buendia has been thinking back on his protracted absence in an Express and Star interview.

He said, “It was the final exercise for the training session.” “I suspected something negative and knew it. Something stirred inside me.

“The knee didn’t swell at all at first, but after the scan, everything looked awful. It was a terrible time.

It was difficult to do the scan at the scene of the injury. However, I dismissed it as normal when I got the doctor’s call.

I didn’t feel too horrible because I was prepared. I made an effort to be upbeat as much as I could.

The most annoying thing was that I couldn’t help. However, every employee at the club, including the players and staff, got to know me well and often enquired about how I was feeling. They also made an effort to support me by saying kind things and saying things that were upbeat.

“From the beginning, I felt a strong connection with the manager. Among the first to phone me was him. His first advice was to unwind, try to heal quickly, be able to stay near my family, and ask him for everything you required.

Norwich won’t receive any further compensation for Buendia’s Champions League performance because the incentives under the contract are mostly determined by how many games he plays in rather than by competitions.

“Even though I tried my best to enjoy them from my space outside, I feel like I lost a lot of good memories last year on the pitch,” Buendia stated.

“Hopefully, we will have a fantastic season this year. I want to support the team so badly. I put a lot of effort into it. I’m sure I’ll get my opportunity shortly.
