A £3 million Brazilian player is now ‘ready’ to make a move to Nottingham Forest.

Nuno Espirito Santo: Tottenham's problems are far bigger than Harry Kane

The summer transfer window has not officially opened yet, but a significant month awaits Nottingham Forest as they need player sales to comply with PSR rules.

Forest have until 30 June to generate cash through player sales to avoid further penalties going into the new campaign.

Meanwhile, Nuno Espirito Santo will be looking to owner Evangelos Marinakis to bolster several areas of his squad. Despite a four-point deduction last season, Forest secured their Premier League status only on the final day.

As they aim to move past last season’s struggles, their first summer transfer dealings could soon be finalized.

Brazilian ready to play for Nottingham Forest

Although Nottingham Forest appears to be forced into player sales this month, it doesn’t mean new players won’t be arriving at the City Ground.

Several players could be headed for the exit in the coming weeks, with Matt Turner attracting interest from the MLS. Significant money could be made from selling some of Forest’s bigger players, such as Murillo, who is believed to be valued at around £70 million by the club. His departure could pave the way for one of his former Corinthians teammates to potentially join Forest.

It has been claimed that the 25-year-old Brazilian has a €4 million (£3 million) release clause in his contract with the Brazilian giants. This player has made four league appearances for Corinthians this season, keeping two clean sheets.

Nottingham Forest quickly solving their goalkeeper issues

There is no doubt that Nottingham Forest has faced issues with their goalkeeping this season, with three different keepers—Odysseas Vlachodimos, Matt Turner, and Matz Sels—taking turns in the starting XI.

Both Turner and Sels are already being linked with moves away, and Greek goalkeeper Vlachodimos is also expected to part ways with Forest due to frustration over his lack of game time this season.

With Nuno seemingly keen to address this position, bringing in a new goalkeeper before pre-season would be hugely beneficial, allowing the new arrival ample time to settle into the club.
