Maurizio Sarri is eager to get his energy back, so he turned down Nottingham Forest’s offer to take over at the City Ground.
Recently, Sarri resigned as Lazio’s manager, and because of his availability, teams seeking a new leader are already considering him.
Nottingham Forest, a Premier League team, is a fan of the qualities that the former Chelsea manager possesses.
Additionally, despite having a manager in place, Forest has reportedly spoken with Sarri about taking over, according to Italian network Sportitalia.
They presented the Italian strategist with a three-year contract, offering him a hefty transfer budget in the summer if he can keep them up.
If Sarri had agreed, he might have taken Nuno’s job as manager right away.
However, the Italian turned down Nottingham Forest because he needs time to relax and refuel.
Sarri thinks he’ll be prepared to take over a new team in the summer, but it’s unclear if Nottingham Forest will invite him back.
Because of his tenure as Chelsea’s manager, he has knowledge of English soccer.
