APOLOGIES:Sorry for the delayed Spurs-Forest swap, Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

The Premier League has issued an apology for moving Nottingham Forest’s trip to Tottenham—which was scheduled for less than two weeks—up by one day.

Due to strikes on the London Underground and trains, the match that was scheduled for Monday, April 8th, will now take place at 18:00 GMT on Sunday, April 7th.
The Safety Advisory Group of the local government concluded that the action did not provide the necessary level of safety for fans.
“Unreservedly” apologized the league.
According to Tottenham, on April 8, only one of the six stations that service the stadium will operate regularly.

“All tickets will remain valid for the new date – we shall shortly be contacting all ticket holders to outline options if they are no longer able to attend,” they stated.

In a statement, the Premier League stated: “The decision to implement rail and tube strikes on Monday, April 8, and the subsequent reduction in accessible transit services, are the reasons behind the adjustment that are without the League’s control.

“This has resulted in the local authority’s Safety Advisory Group determining that it is not possible to stage the match with the required levels of safety for attending fans.”
