EXCLUSIVE” Tottenham told Forest’s new asking price for Gibbs-White

Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest is available for a summer transfer to either Tottenham or Newcastle United, but the cost might reach up to £50 million, according to Football Insider’s sources.

Football Insider said that Forest may have to sell their top five players this summer in order to meet FFP requirements, even if they are demoted.

Gibbs-White, a 24-year-old who is regarded as one of the team’s most prized assets, is one of the players that Forest may sacrifice this summer.

Tottenham had intended to get Gibbs-White for less than Johnson; but, his club is set to demand a higher fee and a substantial return on the sum they paid Wolves.

Earlier this month, Forest was docked four points for allegedly breaking the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Gibbs-White is valued at over £50 million by Nottingham Forest in the summer fire sale.

With nine games left in the season to keep their top-flight status, Nuno Espirito Santo’s team is presently in the relegation zone.
Tottenham, who have been scouting Gibbs-White for the past two years, are reportedly in the lead to sign him this summer, according to Football Insider.

“Not only will Tottenham be interested in Morgan Gibbs-White if he is on the market this summer, but Newcastle will also be interested,” O’Rourke stated on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast.
“It will cost about the same as the £50 million that was paid for Brennan Johnson, and maybe a little bit more.”
