Nottingham Forest have signed 18-year-old Eric da Silva Moreira on a four-year deal, extending until the summer of 2028.
Moreira, a versatile and dynamic player capable of operating as a wing-back or winger, developed through the St. Pauli youth system over the past nine years. He was a standout performer for Germany’s Under-17 team, helping them secure the UEFA European Championship and FIFA World Cup in 2023, contributing two goals and three assists across both tournaments.
He made his professional debut for St. Pauli in March during their 2023/24 season, which culminated in the club’s promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time in 13 years.
Expressing his excitement, Moreira said, “I’m really happy to be here. I’ve heard a lot about the Premier League and many clubs, so I’m very happy to be at Nottingham Forest, a club with a lot of tradition, just like my old club. My family and I are thrilled about this new challenge, and I can’t wait to get started and get to know the city, the people, and everything about the club.”
Chief Football Officer Ross Wilson added, “We already have several exciting young players in our squad, and we are pleased to add Eric, a young player with high potential, to our ranks. We have tracked his progress at both club and international levels and look forward to his continued development here with us.”
Welcome to Nottingham Forest, Eric!
