With just seven games remaining, Nottingham Forest is in the thick of a heated Premier League relegation battle.
The Reds defeated Fulham 3-1 on Tuesday, earning much-needed points that lifted them three points above the relegation zone. Since losing four points for breaking the league’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), Forest has needed to score more points more than ever in recent weeks.
Although it is unlikely that Forest would face more deductions, they will nonetheless challenge the penalty and risk falling further down the league standings. The remaining games for the Reds are listed here, with NottinghamshireLive ranking them from hardest to easiest on paper.

1) City of Manchester (H)
Not a difficult decision. When they visit the City Ground on April 28, the defending champions and holders of the triple crown will probably still have a lot to gain as they attempt to win the Premier League for a historic fourth time in a row.
In the previous season’s match, Forest performed admirably to secure a 1-1 draw against Pep Guardiola’s team. However, the Reds were dominated for the whole of that game, so getting another draw would be advantageous.
2) The Tottenham team (A)
On Sunday, Forest will take on Spurs in the top four, with Ange Postecoglou’s team trailing fourth-place Aston Villa by two points. Since their elevation to the Premier League, Forest has a famously bad away record, so this weekend could be another challenging one.
3) Everton (A)
Despite having a record 13 straight games without a victory in the Premier League, the Toffees will probably encounter a hostile Goodison Park on April 21. Their need for points is further increased by the fact that Everton’s second accusation for allegedly violating PSR is still very murky and could result in another point loss for the team.
4) Chelsea (H)
Even though the Blues are middling in the middle of the standings, they can yet make it to Europe. Naturally, they might not have anything to play for when they play Forest on May 11, but as of right now, they still possess the ability to make it a challenging day at the City Ground.
Although Gary O’Neil’s club has lost their last several games—they have not won since February—they have still been among the league’s best teams this year. However, the Reds have just two home games left, so three points will probably be necessary.
6) Burnley (A)
The Clarets have not lost since the beginning of March, thus they have experienced a minor improvement in their play. With just one victory since Christmas, they are still six points from safety.
7) United of Sheffield (A)
With just three league victories this season, the Blades under Chris Wilder appear destined for relegation. The Reds most likely deserve to lose if they are unable to triumph at Bramall Lane on May 4.
