St. Pauli’s Eric da Silva Moreira is ‘on the verge’ of moving to Nottingham Forest, according to Sky Deutschland.

The 18-year-old, who emerged from St. Pauli’s youth system, made his first team debut in March, coming off the bench against 1.FC Nuremberg. This was his sole appearance for St. Pauli, who have since secured promotion to the Bundesliga.

It’s reported that the winger has drawn interest from several Bundesliga clubs, but he has chosen to move to the Premier League, with Nottingham Forest eager to sign him.

Moreira, a member of Germany’s U17 World Cup-winning squad, is managed by Jorge Mendes. Sky highlights that the super-agent’s close connections with the Reds may have facilitated the youngster’s potential move.

Florian Plettenberg reported on this via X, formerly known as Twitter, stating that Nottingham Forest are ‘close’ to securing Moreira’s signature. The journalist mentions that ‘concrete talks’ are likely ongoing between Nuno Espírito Santo’s team and St. Pauli, concerning a deal worth around €1.5 million.
