When Nottingham Forest signed Murillo in the summer, they struck gold. The center back was acquired by the Reds from Brazilian team Corinthians for a meager £11 million, or around.

From his October start against Brentford, the 21-year-old has been a constant in the Premier League. He is a left-handed player who has shown he has what it takes to succeed in the modern game.

Around this time last year, Murillo had not participated in a senior football game. Murillo is currently shown true class in the Premier League, and four clubs are vying for his services before the summer transfer window opens.

Tuesday night’s 3-1 Forest victory over Fulham had Murillo in action once more. But now, a picture that has been making the rounds may worry some Forest supporters.

It would be fascinating to see if Nuno Espirito Santo is questioned about this at his pre-match press conference after an image went viral on Instagram.

It would not be shocking if Murillo was experiencing some weariness as a young player trying to make his place in men’s football. Hopefully it was nothing more sinister than an ice pack used more as a preventative measure.

Murillo has had an amazing Premier League first season for Forest. At the age of 21, Who Scored demonstrates that he is the best dribbler in the Premier League this season out of all central defenders.

Murillo is unfazed by anything, and Forest needs him to be fit for the duration of the campaign.

It remains to be seen what happens to Murillo during the summer. Although there has been some interest in the prospect, one thing is for sure: if Forest is forced to cash in on the young player, they will profit handsomely.

The Reds need to finish their Premier League survival campaign right now. With Murillo healthy, Forest has the best chance of winning that match; hopefully, the big ice pack on his knee was just for comfort following the victory over Fulham.
