Canterbury Bulldogs forward Ryan Sutton has reportedly experienced another injury setback and will be sidelined for at least two months.
Sutton joined the Bulldogs from the Canberra Raiders for a reported $500,000 per season, but has only made 13 first-grade appearances due to injury and inconsistent performance.
After recovering from a significant knee injury, he will be out for another two months due to a hip injury sustained during training, according to News Corp.
This is a big setback to both the Bulldogs and Sutton’s career.
Last year, the England 9s international was given permission to quit the club and pursue opportunities in the NRL or abroad, alongside Raymond Faitala-Mariner, who is no longer with the club.
Although he is still under contract for another year, he met with club officials to explore his future, potentially returning to the English Super League.
