Rami Al Hajj, who joined Plymouth Argyle from Odense this summer, has quickly proven his ability to adapt to English football at 23 years old. He has made five Championship appearances, scoring once, and has started in the team’s last three matches.

In an interview with Sport Bladet, Al Hajj reflected on his early experiences at Plymouth and discussed Wayne Rooney’s influence at the club. He explained that joining the Championship side felt like the right move, saying, “It felt right when you heard the plan they had for me. I’ve envisioned many scenarios, but now it feels like I’m close to the Premier League.

Al Hajj believes that Rooney will be pivotal in the team’s growth, as the manager excels at bringing out the best in his players. “He knows how to maximize the squad’s potential. He understands each player’s strengths, gives them freedom, but ensures everyone knows their role,” Al Hajj shared.

When asked about Rooney’s key qualities, the midfielder highlighted his composed demeanor and communication skills, saying, “He’s very calm, but he knows what to say and how to say it.”

Plymouth has secured three wins this season and is currently five points behind sixth-placed Watford.
